We did our walk today - up the road and over to Arten Gill - quite cold and a little bit of snow and ice around but a lovely walk. Got my second block 'Wings' to do and I've still got my socks to finish!!

We went for a late breakfast at the Bakery (again!) and then spent the afternoon with Mo and Martyn and saw new baby, Matthew with Carly.

A much better day today! We drove to Exeter first of all and had a good look around - sat and ate our lunch by the Cathedral. Then we went on to Exmouth and we both really liked it - it's a lovely place!

More rain showers and a little bit of sunshine today. We went and picked up the ashes and then went to the cemetery. Had a good clean and tidy up around mum's gravestone and planted three little rose bushes - there were already some little daffodils which were flowering so left those. Called in at Gunnislake on the way back to the campsite and took this photo - a Cornish tin miner.

Weather a bit better this morning. We drove to Royal William Yard and had a lovely late breakfast in the Bakery - yum! Then went to see Darren and Kelly and Jack, Toni came along too and then Mel, John and Jack - lovely to see them all. Dropped Toni off in town and we headed back to the campsite in wind and rain!!!

It has been the most awful day today. We checked on-line and saw that a 'severe weather warning' has been issued for this area! We've been stuck in the campervan all day waiting for the rain to stop. Luckily we did a bit of shopping yesterday so I cooked a big pan of chilli - just what we needed!

We drove down to Devon today - Fraser in the campervan and me in the car. Left home at 9am and arrived at just before 4pm. It was a bit misty and drizzly driving down.

Rained all day today! We went to the George and Dragon in Dent this evening with Kate and Dennis for a meal to celebrate Burns' night. Fraser and I had veggie haggis - hmmm! not quite what we were expecting! A nice evening!

We went for a walk today - up to the viaduct and Newby Head and then across and down Arten Gill. The 'Flying Scotsman' was supposed to be coming through today but it was cancelled at the last minute and they sent another steam train through.

There wasn't too much snow around when I left home this morning. Went to meet up with Anne and then we went to Embroiderers' Guild where we met up with Heather. We had a lovely afternoon. Just started to snow before we were due to leave.

This is a photo of the road going into Sedbergh early this morning. We've spent the whole day unpacking the van - neither of our cars would start - both had flat batteries so Fraser has had to sort that out as well as do everything else.

We had an early start again - started off on little 'D' roads and almost got caught up in a two van accident which had just happened in front of us. It was very cold this morning and frosty so they must have skidded on a bend. We arrived in Ouistreham at about 3 pm to catch the ferry at 4.30 pm. Had a good crossing - we slept in our cabin for most of the time. Arrived at Portsmouth at 9.15 pm and Fraser drove all the way home in rain without stopping (except for a quick coffee). As we reached Kendal, the snow had started!! Got home at just after 3 am. Took this photo at Montresor before we left this morning.

Up at 7 am again and we drove up through Tarn and Garonne. The weather was different today - wet and windy and then sunny with rainbows. But we arrived in Montresor in sunshine. Parked up at the aire and went for a walk around the little town which was really pretty. It had a big castle in the centre and we walked down to the river which was quite flooded.

We got up at 7.00 am and got on our way. It was still windy but lovely bright and sunny and dry. We drove towards Figueres and then headed for Perpignan. There was no snow on the mountain tops - unlike a couple of days before. We drove through the Herault region and eventually arrived at Gaillac - and it rained all evening and all night but the aire we stopped at was fine.

Our last day here today and the weather has been gorgeous - 21 degrees! But it has been windy! We walked to the beach nearest to our campsite and then all along the front as far as we could go. Sat in the sunshine (and wind!) and had our lunch and then walked back. We're starting to pack up now as we're starting to head home tomorrow.

Had quite a relaxing day today. Had a late breakfast and then spent time planning exactly which route we would take home. Then went for a bike ride - headed to a beach again - to Gola this time. It was lovely - no-one around.

Lovely sunshine again today! We cycled into Torrella and had a good walk around - it's a lovely little town! I bought some wool and some bits of fabric and Fraser bought a walking book for the Costa Brava in English. We cycled to the beach then. Unfortunately, on the way, I had another puncture!!! So, Fraser had to fix that, then we carried on to the beach and sat in warm sunshine and had lunch.

We drove to Figueres today - it's about 45 minutes from here and a really good journey. It was a lovely dry and sunny day, and not cold, so we parked up and walked through a park and found the Dali Museum. We spent a couple of hours in there - so much to see! There was also an extra exhibition of his jewellery - everything was amazing! Then we went and had a very nice lunch!

We decided to go walking today - we woke up to sunshine! We headed up behind the town and did a bit of the GR92 and ended up at a little cove called Cala Ferriol. It was lovely and quiet and peaceful and Fraser decided to go skinny-dipping!!! He took all his clothes off and went into the water but decided it was a bit too cold. Just as he got out and got dressed, another couple turned up, then some more people - and then even more people!!! We sat and had lunch then headed back up again and back to the campsite - feeling tired!
