The weather has calmed down a bit today. We did our walk again but the beck isn't quite so ferocious today.

It rained all night and we had torrential rain all day today. We decided to drive to Penrith to do some shopping - the roads out of Cowgill were really flooded so we came home via Kirkby Lonsdale. It's still raining!!!

It didn't stop raining all day today! Spoke to Mo this evening - lovely to catch up with her. She has been to Rome and her and Martyn have been to Northern Cyprus. Kate and Dennis are here - Kate gave me lots of apples so I've got them all cooked and some put away in the freezer.

A wet day today but not cold. I had a baking day - I made spicey lentil soup, cheese scones, kale and mushroom lasagne and a banana cake!! I also finished my first Astrid Hat - it turned out a bit big but I'm pleased with it!

Fraser and I walked up past the pub and up to the 'hikers' garden'. Not very good weather - very dull and we got walk walking home. I've started knitting Hat No. 2 (Astrid Hat - pattern by Martin Storey).

Met up with Anne and we went to Lancaster. Visited Standfast and Fabrix! Lovely afternoon but didn't make it to knitting. Finished Hat No. 1 (Horse Beanie).

Lovely and sunny when we left home this morning. We drove over to Arnside but it was really misty! We had some fish and chips whilst we were there!!!

Fraser's first day of retirement!!!!! He's very happy! We went for a little walk up by the church - gorgeous weather again.

A really miserable day today - rained all night and still raining!! Anne and Cheryl came around for lunch and then we went to the wool shop at Clapham - brightened up by then!! I finished knitting Fraser's stripey socks!!

Anne and I had a lovely day in Glasgow! We went to a craft show (not very good) but really enjoyed our day out! This reminded us both of Linda.

Met up with Sheila and Janice today but not great weather. Sheila and I drove over to Storth to pick Janice up and then we went and had lunch at the Garden Centre at Beetham - nice to catch up with them as always.
