Spoke to Allan this morning on Skype - we're meeting up with him on Friday morning at the hotel. Spent the rest of the day doing last minute packing. The bag and shawl I made for Fiona's wedding.

Drove into Kendal and met up with Sheila and Janice and we went to Grasmere. Had a lovely relaxing day - had lunch and did a bit of shopping at the garden centre.

Picked up Anne at 10 and we drove to Lancaster for her hospital appointment. She wasn't very long so we had a quick visit to Standfast (and both managed to find some fabric to buy), then we had a stroll up through town.

Fraser and I went to Lytham St. Anne's today. We drove there in pouring rain but by the time we had lunch (fish and chips!) the sun had come out and it was warm and lovely. We strolled along the sea-front and enjoyed the view! Took this photo of the windmill on the sea-front - with all the starlings perched on top.

It's rained most of today - really heavy rain this evening. I finished my shawl today and one of Fraser's alpaca socks! Skyped Susan this evening - told her it was like winter up here and she told me it's really hot down there!!!

Allan called first thing this morning so good to catch up with him. Finished making my bag today - I'm pleased with it! Rained first thing but brightened up later. I need to start packing our clothes tomorrow as we're off next Thursday!!!

Had a lovely day again with Anne! Although, I went to the dentist in Sedbergh first and I had to have a filling replaced - that was a surprise! But it was okay. Then I drove into Kendal and picked up Anne. We went to see Kaori at work and gave her the little present (some 'owly' fabric and tape). Then we went into town and had lunch in M&S and then did a little bit of shopping. Took Anne to her doctor's surgery by which time it was raining!

I went into Sedbergh and then caught up with Kate when I got home - we talked about going to Yarndale at the end of September. Started making a bag with some of my older Standfast fabric. This is a little bag I made last week - it's good for holding a knitting project (I've got my shawl in there at the moment!).

Warm and sunny again today. Fraser and I drove over towards Killington and started our walk at Killington New Bridge. We did a lovely circular walk from there - really enjoyed it!

Another nice sunny day! Fraser and I drove over to Skipton and had a look around the shops and had a very nice lunch there. I wanted to go to the Fent Shop to buy some zips so that was good - bought a piece of linen too! We spent the evening with Kate and Dennis.

A day at home today - I've been busy making cushions from the fabric I bought at Standfast yesterday. I made there three cushions from one piece of fabric which cost me £1.00!!!

Went and picked Anne up at 10.30 and we had a lovely day in Lancaster. We stopped off at Standfast first and we both bought some bits of fabric. Then we went to Fabrix and bought a few more bits and then we went to M&S for lunch! It was a lovely sunny day too! We both really enjoyed it!

Michael's birthday today - sent him a text. Spoke to Allan - he's bought a new car - traded his old one in. Spoke to Alice - they had a lovely time on Sunday and Louise sent me photos of her birthday cake - it had a plane and an air-hostess on it! Spoke to Susan - she got her job so that's really good news - she's really pleased. Spoke to Anne - she can't make our trip to Lancaster tomorrow as she's having some minor surgery done.

Louise's 40th birthday today! We were supposed to go to Southport but I wasn't feeling very well so we didn't make it. This was taken yesterday - Fraser starting out on his bike ride and talking to Kevin.

Lovely weather again today! Fraser went off for a bike ride - over towards Askrigg and Semerwater and I went to Farfield Mill for my black and white landscape photography course. Allan phoned just as I arrived - he asked if we needed any models for the photography course!!!!!! I met Justina there. We spent some time inside going through the theory and then went outside and took some textural photographs around the mill and then in the afternoon we took some photos of the Howgills - a really good day. I just have to practice now converting my colour photographs into black and white!

A lovely sunny day today. I went for a walk - managed to get as far as the big viaduct at the end of the dale. Took lots of photos but these two were my favourites - we've had lots of 'boy' sheep put into the field next to us and the other sheep was running along the lane - I think he'd got caught up in some 'sticky willy'!!!

Spent the afternoon with Anne. We just did a little bit of shopping again and then had a late lunch in M&S. Another lovely afternoon! I didn't go to knitting. The chicks are growing!!! Fraser went out for his Wednesday bike ride - weather was lovely until just before he came home - then the skies opened!

It's raining!!!!! It's Darren's birthday today - phoned him to say Happy Birthday but he must be at work. Phoned Alice about Sunday - Lou isn't having a bbq now as the weather forecast for Sunday is rain! So, we're all going out for lunch instead. Phoned Paddy - good to talk to him as I haven't spoken to him for ages. Contacted Anne - hoping to meet her tomorrow and go into town for a couple of hours. We're planning to go to the Brewery this evening for a pizza and to see the latest Mission Impossible film!

A wet day today!! Although, Fraser went for a bike ride over to Barbon and didn't get wet at all!!! I've started some new socks - a pair of alpaca socks for Fraser (I've already shrunk two pairs of his alpaca socks!!!).

We went to see Harry playing with The Shires and Tom Jones this evening. We met up with Clint and Gillian at Sedbergh then drove up to Bitts Park in Carlisle. We had a great evening and it didn't start raining until just before the end!!!!!!
