A day to catch up on my phone calls so I spoke to Paddy first - he's busy campaigning for TUSC but said he is well. Then phoned Win - Carole is in Australia visiting Ameesha and Nick! Then spoke to Val and Peter - and they're travelling up to Scotland in June and stopping over in Windermere so we'll get a chance to meet up with them - very exciting! Lovely talking to them all!! Went into Kendal later on and then to knitting - just me, Kaori and Cheryl!

We had some snow last night and a little bit again this morning!! Allan is home from Morocco - he said he had a good time but not a lot to do - weather was good during the day but cold at night. Spke to Alice and Susan.

We watched Harry on television this morning! He was playing with The Shires and they were performing on the Andrew Marr show!! Then we drove to Millthrop to do a seven mile walk. It started off OK - lovely weather and scenery - but we got lost!! So we decided to turn back and walked back to the car the same we way. We enjoyed it anyway!

I managed to finish the two little cardigans for George today so I'll get them posted off to Suzi tomorrow. Spoke to Susan again as she posted a photo of her finished Coast crocheted blanket - it looks great!

It's St. George's Day today. I suddenly decided that I had to have my hair cut! So, I drove to Settle and managed to get an appointment for 1.30 and I'm very pleased with it!! Nice and short again! Another lovely day - the English flag was flying about Settle.

Carried on with knitting the two baby cardigans for George. Weather gorgeous again - very warm and sunny! Reg came with the eggs - it's his 73rd birthday today! I drove into Kendal late afternoon and went to knitting. I showed my Moebius to Cheryl and she seemed to think it was OK - she brought hers with her and we compared the width. I'm hoping it will be OK but I wanted her to see it before I carried on with it. Anne turned up with here new dog, Scout - he was really well behaved and nice to see Anne again as I haven't seen her since just before Christmas! This is Scout!

Fraser and I drove to Arkholme near Kirkby Lonsdale and did a walk from there. It was dull for most of the day but a nice walk - apart from being told off by a woman with two dogs that we were not on the footpath! We were sitting having our lunch in a field - just off the footpath!

I drove into Kendal today - did my food shopping and then went to the Embroiderers' Guild at the Quaker Tapestry rooms - only the second time I've been! Fraser went for a bike ride. Lovely weather again. This is my attempt at some crewel work.

Alice and John's wedding anniversary today and Beryl's 90th birthday. Alice and I drove to Aintree and looked around the shops in the morning and I drove home from there. Really enjoyed my stay in Liverpool - lovely to see all the family.

Jamie drove us all over to Southport and they showed me the house in Churchtown. We had a little walk around in the sunshine - it was lovely. Then we went to see Suzi, Jeff and the boys and the new baby! He is so tiny!!!

Just getting ready to drive to Liverpool - back on Friday. Spoke to Susan - she's been busy - finished one of her block of the month quilt tops and her crocheted bag - both lovely! Spoke to Allan - he's off to Morocco on Friday. This is my knitting so far!

A horrible day today - heavy rain, sleet and some snow on the tops!! Fraser got very cold and wet whilst out running! Spoke to Mo - lovely to catch up with her. Martyn has finished work and she finishes on 31 May!! Started my Funchal Moebius today - got in a bit of a pickle with it!!

Fraser drove us to Shropshire to meet up with Clint and Gillian. We had a lovely lunch at The Swan with Two Necks and then we went to the cemetery to see the new headstone. Lovely sunny day and great to catch up with C & G!

Went for my walk first thing again today - it was a bit cooler than yesterday - still lovely though! I've started knitting a red 'Baby Sophisticate' jacket for baby George. My new needles and yarn for the 'Funchal Moebius' arrived today together with a copy of Henry Williamson's 'Dandelion Days' which Fraser ordered for me!!!

Had a lovely day today. Kate drove us to Richmond to go to a Vintage Fair. It wasn't brilliant but we had a good look around Richmond and we bought a few things between us! I bought some new shoes, a second-hand tin, some crochet cotton and some wool.

Spent most of the day in the garden today - doing a bit of tidying up. Sat out on the bench later on in the day and it was so hot I had to go inside!! This is new yarn that I've bought to knit a Funchal Moebius by Kate Davies - not sure if I've got enough though!!!

Spent today sitting in the garden in glorious sunshine doing a bit of knitting!! I've finished my Wanida socks so I've started a little jumper for the new baby in the family. Alice texted me yesterday to say Suzi had a little boy and they have called him George. Kate and Dennis coming along this evening for a meal.

A lovely sunny day today. I did some baking - I made a cherry madeira cake and two lemon drizzle cakes. I sat outside this afternoon and knitted a bit more of my second Wanida sock.
