After raining first thing this morning, the sun came out! Went to the knitting group again today at Dent - there was only me and Chris there! Phoned Sky at 6.00pm this evening and got off the phone at just after 8.00pm - still haven't got Dad's phone sorted out. I still can't call him - Sky would not agree to send an engineer out to test his line and phone - and they said that if they did agree to send an engineer it would cost £99.98!! I was so frustrated after two hours of speaking to them that I put the phone down on them. I haven't been able to phone him since Wednesday - coincidentally the same day that Sky took over his phone and broadband!!!!! Phoned Linda after that - lovely to talk to her - she said she'd like to come up in May. Then phoned Fraser - he has booked us a table at the fish restaurant in Caton for Sunday evening!!! Lovely!

After a lovely sunny day yesterday, it's been horrible today! Wet and windy all day. We popped along to see Kate and Dennis this afternoon.

We took the campervan to Morecambe today for a run - it was raining when we left home but by the time we got to Morecambe there was lovely sunshine. We walked along the promenade and back - my pedometer said I had done 15400 steps!! We walked for about three and a half hours - and really enjoyed it. Dad phoned when we got home - I can't ring him at the moment as his phone isn't ringing his end.

Went to Helen Joel's funeral this morning at St Andrew's Church in Sedbergh - the church was really busy. Then went to Farfield Mill for my Metaphor day. Took this photo showing the work of the Dutch Feltmakers Association.

Drove into Kendal today. We had heavy rain and strong winds last night - the electricity went off two or three times but came back on. Rain and sleet this morning but most of the snow has been washed away. Went to my RC class (put on 1.5 lbs.!!).

My next project! I've got to finish my cardigan first though! Met Heather for lunch today in Kendal - we went to Baba Ganuoush - lovely to catch up with her! A bit more snow today but then lots of rain - the lanes were flooded when I drove home.

We had a little bit of snow overnight, so cold but sunny this morning. F left early to go to Warrington. Susan phoned - she is worried about being flooded - the river has come up and is in her garden. Caught up with my chores today after being away.

I was up at 6.30 this morning - watching the Winter Olympics from Sochi. Left the hotel at 8.30 to drive up to Birmingham. Stopped off to see Win, Mal, Carol and Ameesha - lovely to see them all. Got home at about 5.00pm.

Another miserable and wet day! We drove across Dartmoor - this is the clapper bridge at Postbridge. Had a nice lunch just outside Totnes. Went to see Allan in the evening.

Just went back down to Age Concern to have lunch with Paddy again. More rain! I wanted to drive up around the Hoe to see what storm damage had been done up there but the road was closed. We drove to Mutton Cove instead - this is a photo of King William of Orange who landed here from the Netherlands in 1688.

Torrential rain today! We drove to Kingsbridge, then Tor Cross then had lunch in Dartmouth. This is the beach at Tor Cross - the beach has had some storm damage. Mum's birthday today - she would have been 88 - went to the cemetery and planted some little daffodil bulbs. Spent the evening with Darren.

Been to Skipton today. There was snow on top of Whernside, Ingelborough and Pen y Ghent. We stopped at the new Courtyard place just outside Settle for coffee and cake - very nice!!
