Worked all day on trying to get the cot quilt finished - didn't manage it thought but I've got all the quilting done so I just need to put the binding on now. Will have to wait now until I get back from Plymouth.

We drove back through Bainbridge and all the little villages around there and Hawes are celebrating the fact that they are hosting the Tour de France on Saturday, 5 July 2014!!

Hurrah! Sunshine again today! We walked back down to the seafront through Sewerby Village and then walked along the coastal path to Flamborough Head - a lovely walk!

It rained today! We walked into Bridlington from the campsite - a nice walk but it was very wet!

We arrived at the campsite just outside Bridlington in glorious sunshine. We set up and then drove to the RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs - and we saw a puffin!!

Busy day today - up early and then did lots of baking/cooking. Made carrot and coriander soup, hummus, smoked salmon tart, lemon and poppy seed cakes and iced ginger cakes! F home just after lunch. We went up to Hawes and I went into the Countryside Museum to have a look at the knitting exhibition.

Made a smoked salmon tart and an apple sponge this morning for Justina coming around for lunch. Another lovely sunny day. We had lunch in the garden. We went for a little walk along the road up to the viaduct. Went to knitting in Kendal in the evening.

Been to Farfield today - Heather and Janet weren't there today. Heather isn't well and neither is Oscar (Janet's cat!). Had a nice day - looking at folk cultures and myths and legends and boutis technique.

I'm knitting a little purse in linen stitch - this is my second attempt! Another lovely sunny and hot day today although we did have a hail storm at tea-time this evening!! Went into Dent this afternoon to the knitting group.

We were out walking at 7 am this morning - another lovely sunny day. We walked up the top and came back and went to Crooklands to buy some fish (we bought four) for our pond.

We woke up to sunshine! We packed up and were gone by 9 am. We stopped off at Aldi at Penrith to buy some cycling bits. We spent the afternoon in the garden when we got home and then went for a walk up by the church.

We woke up late-ish. It rained through the night so was dull and cool. We walked from the campsite and walked up Great Mell Fell (not very big but the views were great!).

We realised that we'd forgotten to bring the key to the cycle rack and the key for the battery for my bike!! So, we decided to go home and pick them up. It didn't take too long and when we got back we went for a bike ride from the campsite at Troutbeck Head. We got on to the cycle route to Keswick - it was quite busy but very nice!

Bought these plants yesterday - just waiting to put them in but it's still a bit cold. Been baking today - made a date and walnut cake and a banana and cherry cake. We're off to Troutbeck (near Keswick) for the weekend in the campervan.

Two sheep and two lambs walked past our front door this morning!!!! Just getting ready to go into Kendal and planning to go to Caytie's class. Put on 2.5lbs!! (Must have been all that ice-cream.)

Another day at home today. Weather not very good and ended up raining so although I'd planned to go to knitting, I didn't end up going. Got on with tidying my room though!

Caught up with my phone calls today. A lovely sunny day so I did some gardening. Cut down all the old daffodils, planted the trailing fuscias and started sorting out the grass.
